Non è quello il problema. Dopo due anni, ancor più che era usato, una rivalvolata gli farà bene.

Hi,
if you lower the grid stopper from the input plugs to V1, the noise will be less!
Also lowering the grid stopper will not diminish gain!

I only know the HC, MK50H and the Harlequin from inside. All of them have 4 gain stages to achieve distortion, call it high gain. But all of them have this historical high input grid stoppers, which does not make sense any more. Change it and the world becomes quieter.

It's no problem to reduce it to 1KΩ. I did this on all of my amps, also on my HellCat. It's really easy to do so.
I changed the input section by removing both 68kΩ resistors, as I never use the Lo input. Then the 68KΩ resistor directly soldered to the grid of V1 is replaced by a 1kΩ.

I made pics of this easy conversion. Unfortunately they can't be attached to this post directly and I don't want to host them on an image server. I expect from a tech talk forum having this feature. ("...supporting the amps through their life time...")?!?

isma, tutti gli ampli hanno dai 33 ai 68k in ingresso, e non hanno questo tipo di problemi.
Però nessuno ti impedisce di provare questa soluzione.

ma molti ampli se tirati su di gain al massimo e alzando il master frusciano .chi di piu chi di meno hehehe ,ora aspetto che mi mandi le foto e poi posto

Si chiama rumore termico. Se trovi il modo di eliminarlo senza sommergere l'ampli in azoto liquido fai un fischio.
